The Importance of Drainage
Geo Safe Play synthetic fields are designed for perfect drainage so that there is no flooding or displacement of materials. As many safer alternatives to crumb rubber infill become available, careful consideration must be taken to make sure that any of these new products will still provide the same durability and maintenance that makes a synthetic surface a viable options for a field. |

Permeability Rates
An essential function of artificial turf is permeability: the capcity to efficiently drain excess water from rain, melting snow and other non-climactic sources. Tests have been understaken to assess the short- and long-term permeability properties of Geo Safe Paly's synthetic turf by subjecting a sample of SportsPro MF-Diamond turf with InfillPro Geo organic infill to simulations of extended wear and continous intervals. The simulation ran continuously for ten days with a brief reprieve for assessment every 24 hours. EN 15330—a specification developed by the European Standards Committee (CEN)—sets the minimum required rate of water permeability for sports area and field surfaces at 7.4 inches per hour (188 mm/h). Geo Safe Play’s turf products easily meet this standard at all assessment invervals. |
